What tools use the interior designers?

The artistic capacity, color sense and creativity are some of intangible toolsused by the interior decorators. Also important are the real tools ,used by the designers, i.e. the tools of the trade.

Drawing tools

The drawing tools for make plans of room designs are pencil, ruler, compass, protractor and squared paper. The design program (CAD) converts the first sketches and measurements into 3D plan for the designer and the client.

Color wheel

In the color wheel are presented the relations between the primary, secondary and tertiary colors. The wheel helps designers to create schemes of nice colors, based on combination of complementary and analogues colors.

Color swatch

Paint manufacturers produce card sets or strip paint colors for each of their lines. Interior designers use these swatches to select colors and coordinate room paint colors in fabric, furniture and accessories.

Samples of cloth

As the  paint manufacturers, fabric companies offer designers books and samples to promote new products. Small samples streamline the selection of fabrics. These tools also help the designer in developing the color palette of a room.

Metric tape

The interior designers use the metric tape to verify and calculate the dimentions of the interior and mobile spaces. The rigid tapes serve to measure straight lengths, while the fabric tape calcule curved and angled surfaces.

Digital cameras

The digital cameras create visual register of the of workstations, furniture and accessories. The interior designers can donwload the photos in CAD program and integrate it in design plans.
